Those who know the story of how Twasme came to be will know we have deep roots in the equine community. Our founding app, Equibuddy, was actually an all-in-one organiser app for everything owners needed to manage the lives of their horses.
However, what you may not know is that Jenny Leggate, co-founder of Equibuddy Exchange Ltd. and Twasme is also a passionate Founding Trustee of the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA).
Today, the RDA enriches the lives of over 25,000 disabled children and adults with fun activities including horse riding and carriage driving – providing therapy, fitness, skills development and opportunities for achievement. It therefore gives us great pleasure and pride that the Twasme team, led by Jenny herself, were able to attend the recent 2019 RDA Championships.
Each year the RDA Championships brings together hundreds of competitors of all abilities to compete in events including Carriage Driving, Countryside Challenge, Dressage, Showjumping, Vaulting and Showing. We were absolutely delighted to introduce so many new users to Twasme at the event, including those who were already familiar users of Equibuddy – all while enjoying a wonderful weekend of competition.
Things went at a canter from start to finish. Twasme gathered strong interest among the equine community during the event and we received great engagement with our competition to win a £500 donation to the winner’s RDA centre of choice.
All in all, it was a fun-filled but very busy three days for the team, and you may even have caught sight of our bright yellow T-shirts on BBC’s Countryfile, who were filming at the RDA Championships this year.
We sincerely hope all the new app users from the event are already claiming back time and energy in their personal lives with the all-in-one organisation of Twasme, and we are already looking forward to next year’s RDA Championships!
Well done and thank you to all the competitors for a great exhibition of skill, and huge congratulations to this year’s champions.
